Airtel and Vodafone-Idea's premium plans are currently blocked by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. It has now come to light that this has been done following a complaint from Reliance Jio. TRAI has blocked Indian Airtel's Platinum plan and Vodafone-Idea's RedX plan, saying the new plan could affect the service of users who do not take the plan.

Reliance Jio sent a letter on July 8 asking TRAI chairman RS Sharma to check the plans of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea. In a letter to TRAI, Geo said that by checking Vodafone Idea's RedX and Airtel's Platinum plans, it could be ascertained whether the tariff was in line with the existing regulatory framework of pran load, or whether it was harming consumer rights.

Geo asked the opinion in the letter
Geo also wants to know the regulator's opinion about the new plan whether the RedX and Platinum plans are only making false claims, as the benefits to the user in this plan are being made only for good marketing. "Before launching any such plan in the market, we would like to know whether Vodafone Idea and Airtel are working with the existing regulatory framework and making such a tariff offer," Geo said in a letter to Sharma.

Offended by Vodafone Trai
TRAI ordered the blockade on July 11 after reviewing the premium plans of both Vodafone Idea and Airtel. Vodafone is upset with TRAI's decision and the Telecom Dispute Settlement is appealing to the Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), but Airtel has said it will implement TRAI's decision until a full investigation is completed. Geo's complaint in Teva has worked to create trouble for both companies
