Pakistan angry over Tiktok  Imran government bans China's Bigo platform, threatens to ban Tiktok



Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has blocked China's live streaming app Bigo. After India, China's social media app Tiktok could also be banned in Pakistan. This information is provided by the PTA. Both these apps are claimed to be spreading pornography in the country.

India last month banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok. It was later demanded to be banned in Pakistan as well. The PTA issued a statement Monday night. It said that immorality and obscenity were being spread in the country through Chinese apps. It can have dangerous consequences. Many sections of the society have demanded ban on these apps. The resentment towards Tiktok and Bigo has increased a lot.

Danger to youth
Many social organizations in Pakistan have written a letter to the PTA demanding banning of these apps. The PTA issued a statement after considering it. "We have received a number of complaints," it said. These types of apps are having a negative impact on society. The biggest concern is with the youth. They are getting distracted because of these apps. These companies have to operate under Pakistani law. The rest will be banned. The Pakistani government has also shut down the Pubji game application.
