India's cyber security agency CERT-IN has issued a notice to Twitter following the recent hacking of global celebrities' Twitter accounts. A source close to the matter said CERT-IN had asked Twitter to provide full information on the number of Indian customers affected by the hacking incident. Twitter has also been asked to state what kind of notifications were affected by the incident.

The source said CERT-IN has asked Twitter if some Indian users had visited the malicious tweets and links and whether Twitter had informed the affected users about the hacking and unauthorized use of their profiles.
