The engine oil pressure light is activated with two red and yellow colors

Coolant temperature lights are available in three colors: green, yellow and red

There are many types of warning lights on the car's dashboard. Because it is closely related to the health of the car, these lights tell us whether the car is fit or unfit.

Many people are not aware of these lights and do not understand their usefulness and ignore them and go out on a drive. But the mistake that can easily get your claim denied is to fail.

There are usually three types of lights on the dashboard ...

Green: Whenever a sensor is activated in a car, a green light is activated. Can be driven in this condition.

Orange: If any light of this color is visible (except tire pressure) the vehicle can be driven.

Red: Even if some lights are seen in the red light, the car can be driven, such as airbags and brake lights. But the engine can be damaged if some lights come on and if the car is driven.

Let us know about three such lights, if the wool appears, you should stop the car there, as this engine can seize.

1. Engine oil pressure

There are two types of lights, Yellow and Red. If the yellow light is on, understand that the oil level in the engine is low. This mode can be driven, this is activated when the oil reaches the minimum level. In this condition, get the oil topped up as soon as possible.

Driving in this condition can be dangerous if the red light keeps popping up. So, stop the car immediately whenever a red light appears on your dashboard as, if the car runs for even 15 minutes, the engine may seize. Even a little carelessness can do you great harm.

Check the oil level in this condition. If the red light persists even though there is enough oil, stop the vehicle and take the vehicle to the workshop using a towing vehicle.

If the light is blinking and the RPM is stopping as it rises, it can be run in this condition and taken to the workshop / home. But stopping the car is a sensible step if it is constantly showing.

2. Coolant temperature

There are three types of lights - green, yellow and red. Green means the cooling system is OK and the engine is cool. It is also possible to drive in this condition. Yellow means the level of coolant is low. It needs to be top-up as soon as possible. However, driving can be done even in this condition.

But driving in this condition can be difficult if the red light is activated. If the red light is activated, the engine may seize within 15 minutes or the head gas kit may burst if you are driving.

After waiting half an hour to keep the vehicle upright in this condition, carefully open the coolant lid and top-up the coolant. Check below that there is no leakage anywhere. If this happens consult a mechanic immediately. Therefore, be alert immediately if the red light of coolant temperature is constantly activated.

Note - Activation of both the above mentioned lights (engine-oil pressure and coolant temperature) can definitely damage the engine if careless.

3. Battery

This battery charger has an alert light. If this light is activated the engine will not seize, but you can hang anywhere in the middle.

If you see this light in a moving vehicle, do not stop the vehicle, let it run and turn it off only after going to a dhaba or workshop.

Turning this light on means that the battery is not charging and almost all the circuits and electrical components inside the car are powered by the battery.

The red light means that the battery is not charging and the amount of power left in the battery can only drive up to a maximum of 20 km and then your engine will stop. So, try to deliver it to a safe place as soon as possible. If possible, check before leaving the house and do not drive if this light is found to be active.
