TRAI order: Telecom companies have to give details of their plan first, also the number of existing customers of the plan
TRAI directed the telecom companies to provide detailed information about the plan
Asked telecom companies to provide information within 15 days
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has directed the telecom companies to provide detailed information about the plans presented to the customers or the plan for a particular category.
TRAI has issued the order within a few weeks of the Supreme Court's order to telecom companies in this regard. TRAI has asked the companies to provide the information within 15 days. Companies will have to provide detailed information of all circles monthly information of different plans from January, 2020 to November 2020.
The terms and conditions of the plan must also be given
Telecom companies have to provide information including terms and conditions attached to this plan, charges, name of the tariff plan, duration. TRAI has also asked companies to disclose the number of existing customers of each plan.
Geo connected the highest number of customers in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh
According to TRAI's September 2020 report, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh circle has the highest number of customers. Reliance Jio ranks first in this circle. According to the report, the number of Geo's mobile subscribers has increased from 7.53 crore to 7.57 crore in September. This increased number is greater than all the circles.
