LoC Par Love Story

LoC Par Love Story: Surgical strike after first attack in Pulwama, which later disrupted CAA and lockdown as well; The wedding ceremony was finally completed after 23 months

So you may have heard many stories, you may have seen the movie Love Stories with LoC Par, but the love story we are talking about today does not have characters like 'Ghadar' or 'Veer Zara', but there were many obstacles in this love story.

Tariq, a 29-year-old resident of Bhopal, and Hira, a 27-year-old from Karachi (Pakistan), were planning a humsafar when a terrorist attack took place in Pulwama. Then India launched a surgical strike on Pakistan. The marriage took place in a hurry, but the farewell ceremony could not take place. Violent protests against the CAA-NRC have already started in India before the rest of the wedding ceremony takes place on the scheduled date. The Corona epidemic struck again and the country took a long lockdown, but in the end Tariq and Diamond's love story brought color. After overcoming all the obstacles, the two completed the rest of the marriage ceremony on February 2, 2021 after 23 months i.e. about 2 years. Surrounded by border tensions, politics and epidemics, let's learn a little bit about this love story ...

This picture is of the time when Tariq and Hira became friends. The second picture is of the wedding program that took place this month.

Ammi asked in the first interview- will you be my bride? Hira's uncle's house in Karachi is in Bhopal and she used to visit her nanny. The love story began in 2013, when a common friend first visited Bhopal's Tariq and Karachi's diamonds in a hookah lounge in Bhopal's Bitton Market. The two became good friends after this visit. In 2015, Hira came to India on a long term visa for 2 years. Since then, Tariq and Hira have met many times. Tariq says that when Hira was going back to Pakistan in 2017, his eyes got wet before he left. He told me- let me meet your mom once.

Tariq further said that as soon as Ammi and Hira met each other, they met and started crying. These were many emotional moments. After a while, Ammi said directly to Hira, "Will you be my bride?" This was the first conversation about Tariq and Hira's wedding.

Pulwama Attack, Surgical Strike, NRC Protest and Lockdown became a hindrance, he added. The two families were talking about our wedding date in early 2019. In the midst of all this, on 14 February 2019, there was an attack in Pulwama. Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated. Then on February 26, 2019, India launched an air strike on Pakistan. Relations between the two countries deteriorated to such an extent that diamonds were allowed to return to Pakistan. In the midst of all this, my family decided to get the two married so that paper work could be done and diamonds could remain in India.

"In the meantime, there was such a hurry that we got married in Bhopal on March 2, 2019, in preparation for about 24 hours," Tariq said. But the post-wedding ceremony could not take place, so Hira started living in her grandmother's house instead of Tariq's. At that point, both families decided that the rest of the ceremony would be completed when all was well. There were anti-CAA-NRC protests across the country as part of the farewell and rest of the ceremony. Although the two families decided to go ahead with the rest of the rituals, we also stayed apart.

Despite the marriage, Tariq and Hira could not stay together, as Hira's farewell ceremony did not take place.

"There was a very normal ceremony after the wedding, that's why we both wanted to celebrate our wedding," Tariq said. He wanted to complete the farewell ceremony by having a function when everything was fine. But there was a twist in the story. A few months later, the Corona epidemic entered India and a long lockdown ensued.

Hira says that Tariq and I were married, but many friends and relatives could not come. We could not stay together even after marriage due to constant obstacles.

"However, we will be allowed to have a wedding with a limited number of guests after June, but we both thought it would be a bit more while waiting," Tariq said. In the end, if the guest's limitation in the marriage ended, the marriage could take place on February 2, 2021.

Diamond will soon apply for Indian citizenship, after which he will be able to return to any city in India. Doing so is currently prohibited under visa rules.

The official asked- why marriage in Pakistan?

Citizens of Pakistani origin can be issued a city-specific visa in India, if they go to another city or stay overnight, they have to give notice to the local police station of the city concerned. "Every time Hira came to India and came to Bhopal from another city, we had to go to SP office and police station. Once I went to SP office, Hira was at another counter and I was different Was on the counter. An official asked me why I got married in Pakistan. I said jokingly to Hussein, "Sir, if Sania Mirza of Pakistan is taken away from here, we will also bring her diamonds from there."
