It may be noted that the deadline for online application by the Lokarakshak Recruitment Board for filling up of 10,459 posts of Lokarakshak cadre armed and unarmed constables-Lokarakshak and SRPF constables through direct recruitment in the Gujarat Police Department expired on November 9. A total of 12 lakh applications have been received for recruitment in Lokrakshak Dal, out of which 9.46 lakh applications have been confirmed. Applications of 6.92 lakh men and 2.54 lakh women have been confirmed. A total of 86,188 applications were received on the last day.
