Banks have given huge relief to Jan Dhan account holders. Banks said that Jan Dhan account holders do not have to pay any charge for depositing or withdrawing money. All the banks are strictly following the RBI guidelines. No instruction has been given to impose charge on Jan Dhan account.

The number of accounts increased during the Corona period

The number of people opening Jan Dhan bank accounts has increased during the Koro epidemic. According to research by State Bank of India, the rate of Jan Dhan account opening has increased by 60% during the Koro epidemic. About 3 crore new accounts have been opened between April 1 and October 14 and the deposit amount is Rs. 11600 crore. With this, the total number of Jan Dhan accounts has increased to 41.05 crore.
