Now Reserve Demu, Memu, passenger trains will start local trains
How much charge will have to be paid
It is not possible to travel without a reservation because of the corona
Trains were shut down after a lockdown during the Corona period. However, long distance special trains were introduced by the railways for the convenience of the people, in which only passengers who got reservation tickets were allowed to travel. Following the persistent demand of the people, the Railways has now announced the launch of short-distance passenger, Demu and Memu trains. Accordingly, Western Railway has also announced to start passenger, Demu and Memu trains between various cities of Gujarat.
Passengers will also have to pay higher fares and reserve tickets to travel on these local trains starting from Ahmedabad between Vadodara, Mehsana, Patan, Himmatnagar and other cities. Passengers will not be able to travel by train without a reserve ticket. As a result, all passengers will have to pay Rs 10 to Rs 30 more for traveling in local trains. The decision on how long to run all these passenger, MEMU and DEMU trains as reserve trains and when to reserve them will be decided by the railways keeping in view the demands and needs of the locals.
