The Central Government has started a temporary pension scheme

Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said that central government employees retiring during the Covid-19 epidemic will continue to receive temporary pensions till the regular pension payment order (PPO) is announced and other formalities are completed. He said the decision was taken in view of the epidemic and lockdown. Government employees may have difficulty in submitting the pension form at the head office or they may not be in a position to submit the service book claim form to the physically related pay & account office. This problem is exacerbated especially if the two offices are in different cities.

Jitendra Singh, Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, said, "It is for the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) which is constantly moving from one city to another and from its headquarters, pay and account office space to another city." It is designed in such a way that it can give PPO to the concerned employee from the day of retirement without any delay.
