According to OpenSignal, the average download speed on a 5G network in Saudi Arabia is 377.2 Mbps while the average download speed on a 5G network in South Korea is 336.1 Mbps. The report contains data from 5 countries regarding 5G speeds from 1 July to 28 September.

According to the report, 4G download speeds in Saudi Arabia are 30.1Mbps, which is 12.5 times lower than 5G. According to a TRAI report, Reliance Jio's maximum 4G download speed is 33.3 Mbps if compared to India's 4G speeds. This means that Saudi Arabia's 5G download speed is 11 times faster than India's 4G speed.
Expansion of 5G network in South Korea
The 5G network is expanding rapidly in many countries, including South Korea. It currently offers network service on non-standalone mode, which requires 4G network support. Users spend 22.5% more on 5G networks in South Korea. The figure was 20.7% in the last report.
Cost of 5G spectrum in India
A report by Motilal Oswal Financial Services estimates that the cost for A-circle and metro cities ranges from Rs 78,800 crore to Rs 1.3 lakh crore. While Mumbai alone will require an investment of Rs 10,000 crore for 5G.
TRAI, on the other hand, has reserved a price of Rs 8,400 crore for 100 MHz mid-band spectrum. According to the report, if the price goes up by Rs 20 lakh per site for 9,000 sites, the amount will be even higher at Rs 1,800 crore. The total amount will be 10 thousand crore rupees. Similarly, launching 5G in Delhi is estimated to cost Rs 8,700 crore. The government has set a base price of Rs 6,900 crore for 100 MHz mid-band spectrum.
