New Delhi: Reliance Jio, along with US technology firm Qualcomm, has successfully tested its 5G technology in the US. The announcement was made at a virtual event held in San Diego, USA. "Together with Qualcomm and Reliance's subsidiary Radices, we are working on 5G technology so that it can be launched in India soon," Matthew Oman, president of Reliance Jio, said at the Qualcomm event. In the coming days, users in India will be able to enjoy speeds up to 1Gbps.

India involved in elite country
After this testing, India has joined the list of elite countries that can provide 1 Gbps speed to the users. Currently, the United States, South Korea, Australia, Switzerland and Germany are the countries that are offering 1 Gbps speeds to their 5G customers.
5G was announced at Reliance AGM
About three months ago, Mukesh Ambani announced 5G technology at Reliance Industries' annual general meeting on July 15. Handing over the technology developed using home appliances to the nation, Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio is ready for testing of 5G technology as soon as 5G spectrum becomes available and after successful testing of 5G, Reliance will focus on exporting the technology. This technique has proven itself successful, on all parameters, as a whole. "We are working with Geo to come up with a lot of solutions," said Durga Malladi, senior vice president, Qualcomm.

Many countries have banned the Chinese company Huawei because of the Corona virus. Huawei is the Chinese company that developed the 5G technique. After successful testing of 5G technology, Reliance Jio can now replace the Chinese company worldwide.
