ICAI approves new system for admission, students can now register for CA's foundation course after 10th standard
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has approved a new arrangement for admission in the course of Chartered Accountants (CA). Students will now be able to register for the CA's foundation course after 10th standard. Earlier, candidates could register only after passing 12th standard. ICAI periodically reviews its education system and training to make it more relevant to the global market.

For this purpose and in view of repeated requests from the candidates, the Institute has sent a proposal to the Government of India to amend the rules of Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 WRT. So, the admission process can be changed.

Admission will be regular after 12th standard
According to ICAI President CA Atulkumar Gupta, the institute has recently received approval from the Government of India to amend the Chartered Accountants Regulations, Rules 25E, 25F and 28F of 1988. Following this amendment, students will now be able to do provisional registration in ICAI's foundation course only after passing the 10th standard examination. However, their admission for the foundation course will be regularized only after passing the 12th standard examination.
Free online classes also available
ICAI Foundation students will also have the opportunity to join free online classes, which can be accessed from anywhere at any time. Candidates should keep in mind that students will be eligible to appear for the Foundation Exam in May / June only after passing the 12th standard examination in February / March.
