In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not make enough insulin

Dr. Vineet Mishra further added that adults suffering from kidney failure due to type-1 diabetes are potential candidates for kidney-pancreatic transplantation. Insulin is a hormone that regulates sugar levels in the human body. In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not make enough insulin. Transplanted pancreas can make insulin and improve type-1 diabetes.
