Front gear: Don't panic if the car's brakes fail while driving, but try to stop in three ways

It is very important to be mindful while driving. Being active in the mind often leads us to a condition that leads to an accident. Often the brakes fail while driving. Such a situation rarely arises. But it is very important to stay calm at that time because those who stay cool in this situation survive a big accident.

Here's what you should and shouldn't do in the event of a car brake failure. However, restraint is most important in this situation. Accidents are more likely to happen if you panic.

First find out what causes brake failure?

There are two main reasons why so many cases of car brake failure have been studied. The first reason is fluid oil leakage. Also, another reason is not working as a brake master.

Whenever we press the brake pedal of the car while driving, the brake fluid generates a hydraulic pressure, which goes to the brake pads in the tires. In cars with disc brakes, the brake pads apply pressure to the discs from the pads on either side of the disc, causing the wheel to stop spinning. Also, in cars that have a drum brake, the brake pads stop the vehicle by putting pressure on the wheels.

What to do if car brakes fail?

Do not press the accelerator and clutch

When the car brakes fail, first remove the foot from the accelerator. Also do not press the clutch. Pressing the clutch makes the car smoother.

Change gear

Another job is to change gears. You need to get your car in first gear. You do not need to press the clutch when changing gears. The car will come to first gear like the engine will load and the speed will start to slow down.

Press repeatedly on the brake pedal

Keep pressing the brake pedal repeatedly even after the brakes fail. Often the brakes stop. If this happens then it starts working again.

Play the horn, turn on the lights

Repeat the horn to alert the oncoming vehicle. Turn on the car's headlamp. Also, turn on the emergency lights.

Turn on the AC, turn down the glass

Turn on the car's AC. When the weather is cold, remove the direction of the AC wings from your side. At the same time take down all the glass of the car. The outside air will come inside the car, which will reduce its speed.

Slowly pull the handbrake

Now the work of pulling the handbrake is the most important. But keep in mind that it has to be pulled slowly. As the handbrake goes up the speed will start to slow down.

Take the car to the empty space

During this time you also have to see if there is any empty space around you, such as a field or a place with mud or sand, then take it there. But all these spaces should be parallel to the road, otherwise the car will overturn.

What not to do if the brakes fail?

Don't panic

Don't panic if such a situation arises with you because, if you lose control then you will not be able to take any action.

Do not pull the handbrake immediately

The handbrake should not be pulled immediately if the speed of the vehicle is high. If you do this right away the car will be more likely to overturn.

Save the car from colliding somewhere

Many people hit a moving vehicle with something to stop it due to brake failure. Doing so is risky. This will not only damage the car but also cause you to have a major accident.
