India is expected to get a large number of jobs from the US

Corona has taken a heavy toll on the economy of the country and the world and in such a situation millions of people have lost their jobs, but now the new year has started and the good news at the beginning of the year is that Gujarat's information technology (IT) industry will be massively new in the next 6-8 months. Recruitment will begin. Maulik Bhansali, chairman of the Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GASIA IT Association), said that work in India has gradually increased and now work from Western countries will start coming from January. Given all these conditions, an estimated 30,000-35,000 new jobs could be created in the IT sector in the coming days. By March-April next year, the job rate could increase by 10-15%.

Companies will hire after January

Jaimin Shah, CMD, Dev Infocomm, said the US elections have just been completed and it will be clear by January how much and what kind of business will come from there. Most companies will do the hiring, even in the coming calendar year. Companies will start new recruitments as the situation returns to normal. We will also be hiring after January.

Now the focus of IT companies is on increasing growth

Maulik Bhansali said that so far companies have been able to sustain their business by hiring employees from home, but given the way the situation is becoming normal, the focus of IT companies is now on how to grow. In Western countries, the financial year ends in December and new work budgeting will also take place from January. With a lot of this work likely to come to India, new recruitments in the IT sector will start, especially from the beginning of the coming calendar year.

40% demand IT companies in the job market

Vipul Mali, founder and business head of recruitment agency Post a Resume, said new recruitment from the IT and allied sectors was on the rise. About 40% of the companies we have in demand are from such companies. Explaining the reason, he said that after the Corona and lockdown, the company in all sectors is upgrading its software, website and mobile app or creating new ones. In such a situation, the work in the IT sector has increased a lot. As new circumstances arise, companies are strengthening their IT infrastructure, which will lead to massive job creation in the sector in the coming days.

Companies started offering increments

According to people involved in the IT sector, work will start coming from countries including the US in the coming days. The companies hope that the work will necessarily increase in the coming days and seeing that the companies have now resumed the stalled increment cycle, which was stalled due to the corona. Many IT companies had stopped pay hikes due to the issue of payments, now they are reviewing salaries again.

In Gujarat, 85-90% of the employees are working from home

Tejinder Oberoi, Executive Director, Signet Infotech, said that the industry employs about 3 lakh people in Gujarat. When the lockdown started, more than 3000 companies in Gujarat asked their employees to work from home. About 2.25 lakh people were working from home in March and today 90% of the staff i.e. an estimated 3.5 lakh people are working from home. Work from home is not easy, the biggest question comes from infrastructure and companies are helping their employees to setup at home. In addition comes the question of security. People in lockdown are now focusing on strategic management, to the benefit of both the employee and the company.

Benefited from government policy

There have been changes in government policy, which have benefited companies operating BPOs. Now the government is also thinking about the concept of work from home. It is not necessary to come to a big city to work, nowadays work can be done from anywhere so appointments can also be made from a small center. In addition, women as well as the disabled benefit from this. Now if a company has an office in Bengaluru, it does not need to call an employee there. Doing all this saves infrastructure costs.
