After the ban on Tiktok, the popular Indian short video app Mitro launched a self-contained app. What is special is that in this app, the user will be able to find apps developed in India according to various services and needs.



The app has indigenous apps in many other categories including business, e-learning, news health, shopping, games, utilities, entertainment, social. Right now the self-contained app will only work on Android devices.

The self-contained app is available for free on the Google Play Store. It allows you to identify and discover over 100 Indian apps created by your local developers. It also has the option of taking a self-reliant pledge to support the self-reliant India initiative launched by the Prime Minister.

No registration is required in the app. After downloading, it appears directly in the indigenous app, which can be downloaded. It includes many indigenous apps including Health Bridge, BHIM App, Narendra Modi App, Geo TV, Digilocker, Paper Scanner, IRCTC Rail Connect.

The download size of the self-contained app is 12MB. Currently, the platform claims to host more than 100 apps and plans to bring in a total of 500 apps by the end of this year.

Next to the listed apps is the 'Get App' button, which when clicked, takes the user directly to the Google Play Store, from where the app can be downloaded.

The company has not commented on whether it will be released on the iOS platform.
