If your account is in the former Allahabad Bank then this news is for you. The IFSC Code of Allahabad Bank's branch has changed from February 15 after the merger of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank. Now the IFSC Code of your branch will not work. Indian Bank has informed about this by tweeting.
It may be mentioned that Allahabad Bank has been merged with Indian Bank since April 1, 2020. Contact Home Branch to know your new IFSC Code starting from 'IDIB' for RTGS, NEFT, IMPS.

Indian Bank in its tweet has informed the account holders about the process of obtaining IFSC Code. To get the new IFSC Code according to the bank, log in to www.indianbank.in/amalgamation tab and enter the old IFSC Code.

Indian Bank said in a tweet, "Dear Customer, Thank you for your cooperation during the merger. Note that new major changes have been made for the customers of the previous Allahabad Bank from 15 January 2021."

The checkbook of Allahabad Bank will be valid for six months, Indian Bank said. The bank said that the pages of the checkbook have expired or can be used for up to 6 months whichever comes first. The new passbook will be issued in the form of Indian Bank till 15,02,2021. You are advised to obtain a new IB passbook from your home branch.
