 No lockdown, no day curfew, no need to panic: CM Rupani


    Chief Minister Rupani clarified that curfew and lockdown will not take place in the state

    Mall-theaters were closed on Saturdays and Sundays as people gathered

Corona cases are on the rise across the state, including Ahmedabad and Surat. Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani again announced at a press conference on Saturday that no lockdown or curfew would be imposed in the state during the day. Mall-theaters are crowded on Saturdays and Sundays, so it will be closed. The government has made all the preparations.



People need not panic, as well as be careful. At present, I have ordered to prepare five times as many beds as there are cases and accordingly the government also reviews every day. Medication, injections, doctor, all these arrangements have also been done. Dhanvantari Rath, 104, Sanjeevani, we have also started again, so I believe there is no need to panic.


The government canceled all programs

Talking about people coming to Gujarat from other states, the Chief Minister said that we are screening all the people coming from outside states. The BJP has canceled all the programs and the government has also decided not to hold any programs at present.


Offline education closed in school-colleges

Even two days ago, Chief Minister Rupani told a press conference that there was no talk of a lockdown at present. The government has decided to stop offline education in schools and colleges in eight municipalities, following which offline education in schools and colleges will remain closed till April 10.

344 new corona cases in Ahmedabad

Corona's case has been steadily rising since the corporation election and the organization of the cricket match. In the last 24 hours, 344 new cases and 260 patients were cured in the city and district, while the death toll in the Ahmedabad city area rose to 2,329 with 1 patient dying. For the first time in five months i.e. since November 10, the number of new cases of corona in the city and district has reached around 340, up from 344 previously reported.

At the same time, a total of 2,83,864 cases and 2,72,332 discharges have been reported in the state, up from 1,420 reported earlier on November 20, while 948 patients have recovered and returned home. The death toll in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Surat Corporation area and Surendranagar was 4-1437 with 4 patients dying 1-1. For the first time since January 13, four patients have died in the state.

Responsibility was assigned following Coro’s transition
