PWD's 633 team began undoing closed roads

Giving more details of the restoration work carried out in the state, Vijay Rupani said that about 1200 roads were closed in the state due to Hurricane Tau-te, out of which about 1100 roads have been undone. For this, more than 3500 workers including 964 engineers in 633 teams of road and building department have been working with 3528 machinery and equipment. He also expressed confidence that the rest of the roads would be operational by tomorrow evening.


Out of 219, 142 substations were reopened

Giving details of power supply situation, the Chief Minister said that 219 substations of 66 KV were affected due to the storm. Of these, 142 substations have been reopened and more than 15,000 electricians have been engaged in continuous restoration work. Work is also in progress to turn on substations that are still affected.


About 295 Kovid hospitals were electrified with generator sets

In the aftermath of the Tau-te hurricane, 295 Kovid hospitals in the state were cut off from power and power was supplied from generator sets. Power supply has now been switched on in 269 out of 7 Kovid hospitals. The power supply to 29 Kovid Hospital, which is currently running on a generator set, will be restored by Thursday evening, he added.


As many as 2100 critical mobile towers were damaged

Rupani said that about 2100 critical mobile towers in the state were damaged due to this Tau-te hurricane. About 1500 of these mobile towers have been commissioned. While the work of turning over the remaining towers has also been carried out on a war footing.


80 headworks of drinking water were affected, 47 headworks were turned on

Of the 80 headworks affected by the storm in the affected areas in the state, 47 have been commissioned and the rest will be commissioned by Thursday evening, Vijay Rupani said.


Migrants will be paid cashdol

The Chief Minister said that today the state government has also decided in the core committee that cashdolls will also be given to the people displaced due to Hurricane Tau-te from Thursday. According to this cashdol, adults are entitled to Rs. 100 and children Rs. Cashdol will be given for 60 articles. People who migrated to Ta. Those who have migrated on May 16 or 17 will be paid a 7-day cashdol, while those who have relocated on May 18 will be paid a 3-day cashdol by the state government.

Vaccination will start from tomorrow

They will be given about 50,000 doses of the vaccine from tomorrow. The first dose of the vaccine will also be given to people over the age of 45 in the state from tomorrow. The second dose of vaccination will be given to people above 45 years of age as per the guideline of the Government of India from the completion of 84 days of the first dose. Therefore, from tomorrow, Thursday, only those over the age of 45 who have missed the first dose will be vaccinated.
