7th Pay Commission / Gift to millions of government employees of UP, Yogi Government made this big announcement

7th Pay Commission / Gift to millions of government employees of UP, Yogi Government made this big announcement

Salary increase from January 2020

The salaries of state employees have not been increased since January 2020.  The UP government last year postponed a pay hike for government employees due to the corona virus.  Those employees were then waiting for a salary increase.  Now the government has given D.A. to more than 1.5 million state employees.  And announced additional pay benefits.  In addition, DR benefits have been announced for more than 12 lakh pensioners.

The allowance will be given 3 times in the next 7 months

The government said government employees would get three times the allowance in the next seven months.  Along with this, they will also get the benefit of additional annual salary.  It is believed that government employees could benefit from an 11 per cent inflation allowance in July.  Along with this, in July alone, they can also get the benefit of 3% annual salary increase.

It will put a burden of about Rs 3,000 crore on the exchequer, but the government does not want to lag behind in making employees happy as it is an election year.  The government has announced an increase in inflation allowance for retired employees.  Along with this, 12 lakh pensioners in UP will also get relief in the face of rising inflation.

There was no increase last year

Last year, the Yogi government banned a number of allowances, including a pay rise for coronaviruses.  The government claimed that stopping the inflation allowance would save about Rs 8,000 crore.  In the first year 2020-21, government employees were getting 17 per cent allowance.  But there was no increase last year.
