Elections to be held in Gujarat in Gujarat
New Delhi: Election Commission's press conference has started. The dates of Lok Sabha election 2019 are being declared by the Commission. The Code of Conduct has been implemented in conjunction with election manifesto. Voting will take place in a single phase in 22 states including Gujarat, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Polling will be held in Gujarat on April 23. Election results will be announced on May 23. The 2014 Lok Sabha election dates were announced on Sunday. The current Lok Sabha tenure ends on June 3.

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said, "We have taken note of board examinations. This time 90 crore voters will use the suffrage. Out of which 1.5 crore voters will use the suffrage for the first time. 10 lakh voting centers will be created to give vote. The first time EVMs will also have a candidate's photo. Loud speaker can not be used for 10 hours in the morning for 6 hours. Water slip will be given 5 days before voting.
