Subject: - Matter of amending the charge for testing in a private laboratory for diagnosis of Kovid-12 patient.  In order to address the effects of Coronavirus by the State Government as well as to expedite the prevention and control of COVID-19 disease under the Epidemic Diseases Act-18, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has issued N, C, V / 102 050 SFS-1.

The Gujarat Epidemiological Regulation - 50 has been implemented in the state from the declaration of 17/07/2020.  The limit for charging from the patient was fixed by the reference letter (1) for the State Accredited Private Laboratory COVID-12 RTPCR / CBNAAT / TRUENAT test.  From now on, if the patient goes to the laboratory and gives a sample for the test, a maximum of Rs. 1500 / - and if the sample is collected by the

at the patient's home or another hospital, a maximum of Rs.  5000 / - can be charged.  This amount includes all expenses.  COVID-12 RTPCR, for CBNAAT / TRUENAT test, if a private laboratory charges more than the amount mentioned in the circular, the accreditation of that laboratory will be revoked.
