Government strike on Chinese app
The government has said in an order to ban apps that data collected and shared from apps could pose a threat to users as well as the nation's security. The 118 apps that have been banned include many well-known names. Games such as Ludo and Carrom, which became popular during the lockdown, have also been banned. The list includes Ludo All-Star and Ludo World-Ludo Superstar, as well as Chess Juice and Carrom Friends.
Tiktok has also been banned
This is not the first time the government has banned Chinese apps. The company is the first to ban 59 Chinese apps. It included the popular short video making app Tiktok. Tensions have been high on the border between China and India for some time. Because of this the government has decided to ban apps.
