Sharjah: Kings XI Punjab had a bad start in the IPL. They lost the first match, but in the second match, the team made a strong comeback and now they have to face Rajasthan Royals in the third match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday. The match between Delhi and Punjab reached the super over and Delhi managed to win. In the second match, Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In that match, captain Lokesh Rahul scored a century (132 runs).

Maxwell-Puran needs to run in Punjab

Both batting and bowling of the team against RCB went on. In the match against Rajasthan, the team management will expect the team to perform in the same way as it did against RCB.

If there is one concern for the team, it is the form of Nicholas Pooran and Glenn Maxwell in the middle order. The two have not been able to do anything special so far. Here is the possibility of a change that team management can make. Even Karun Nair could not leave more influence. He was cheaply dismissed in the first match. In the second match, he went late and hit some shots and accompanied Rahul.

Punjab's bowling is strong

Punjab's bowling has been good in both the matches so far. Mohammed Shami has led the team well in fast bowling. Here Sheldon Cottrell has given him good support in both matches. Jimmy Nisham had a chance to bowl only two overs in the previous match, but his role is important given the kind of talent he has.

In spin, Ravi Bishnoi is seen becoming a new star for the team. Under the special tactic against RCB, coach Anil Kumble adopted a two-leg spinner policy and fielded Murugan Ashwin along with Bishnoi. His strategy worked. It remains to be seen whether the team will make any changes against Rajasthan.

Radasthan's batting strong

In Rajasthan's first match, Sanju Samson and captain Steve Smith batted, but neither batsman was able to score before or after. Young Yashaswi Jaiswal was dismissed cheaply in his first match. So in this match Jose Butler is going to join the team. So that David Miller could be out.

Bowling needs improvement

Concerns for the bowling team. Other bowlers could not make a special impression except Archer. Rahul Tewatia gave wickets in times of need, but it proved costly. Jaydev Unadkat, Tom Karan and Shreyas Gopal also had this condition. Punjab v Rajasthan will have to bowl as a unit.
