 Now tickets can be booked even 30 minutes before the train departs.:-

Reservation Chart: From today, the Railways has changed the rule of reservation chart, according to which tickets can now be booked up to 30 minutes before the departure of the train.

To provide relief to the passengers, Indian Railways is facilitating the preparation of Second Reservation Chart Rules from today.  This second reservation chart will be prepared 30 minutes before the train departs.  The new rule will come into effect from today, i.e. October 10.  The chart was first changed two hours ago in view of the Covid 19 epidemic.

A public statement from the railways said the first reservation chart was prepared four hours before the departure of the train as per the pre-Corolla rule.  The latter was standardized before the flow of tickets available on the Internet or PRS system.  This booking was made before the second reservation chart was made.

The second reservation chart was prepared 30 to five minutes after the train departed.  In the meantime, under the refund rule, tickets already booked were allowed to be canceled.  The rule of the second reservation chart was changed during the Corona period.  Now, for the second time, changing the rule, the reservation chart has been allowed to be prepared up to 30 minutes after the departure of the train.

Tickets can be booked online and from the PRS ticket counter before the second chart is ready.  Necessary changes have been made in the Rail Information System Center (CRIS) software to create a chart 30 minutes before the train leaves.

It is worth mentioning that the first chart of the train is made four hours before the departure of the train.  By changing the timing of the second chart, passengers will now have more options to book tickets.  Passengers can book tickets through the internet on a first come first served basis before the second chart is ready.  The second reservation chart will be prepared exactly 30 minutes before the train departs.  This chart will also provide for the cancellation of tickets already booked.
