The founder of Telegram said respect the users
On Saturday, Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durove lashed out at social media giant Facebook. He said in his blog that it is no surprise that WhatsApp has seen an increase in users over the years.
"The whole Facebook team is looking at how the number of users on Telegram is finally increasing," Durov said. At the same time, he said that users should be respected.
Growing around 500 million users on Telegram could be a big problem for Facebook. Not only telegrams but also messaging app signals have seen a steady increase in the number of users.
Signal app's server overloaded
Alan Musk, Tesla's founder and the world's richest man, recently appealed for the use of the messaging app Signal, after which the number of users on the signal has been steadily increasing. The Signal app had to send so many verification codes at once that the server overloaded.
Signal Ape said it was taking a long time for the verification code to reach many new users due to their arrival on the platform. This glitch has now been solved. New users can now create a new account without any hassle.
Signal has launched a group call with its latest version in December 2020 and is encrypted. Signal only stores your mobile number as personal data and the app does not store any data. While Telegram wants contact info, contacts and user ID as your personal information.
