Maruti Suzuki loses 71%

The company sold a total of 46,555 vehicles last month. As well, in April, it sold 1,59,691 vehicles. That is, on a monthly basis, it has lost 71%. However, the company has grown on an annual basis. In May 2020, it sold 18,539 vehicles. Sales of Maruti's passenger vehicles fell by 76% in May. However, it recorded a growth of 34% with exports of 11,262 vehicles. As well, in mini and compact vehicles it sold 25,103 vehicles with a decrease of 79%. Sales of vehicles, which decreased by 79%.


Mahindra & Mahindra's sales decline by 52%

The company's sales this month were affected by a lockdown in May. Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 17,447 units in May. It has lost 52% on a monthly basis. The company sold a total of 36,437 vehicles in April. However, in the passenger vehicle segment (ઙ, cars and vans), the company sold 8,004 vehicles with an annual growth of 107%. Last month, the company exported 1,935 vehicles with a growth of 300%. In May 2020, it exported 484 vehicles. On a monthly basis, tractor sales declined by 12.13%.


Tata Motors sales down 38%

Tata Motors sold 24,552 vehicles in the domestic market in May, down 38% on a monthly basis. The company sold 39,530 vehicles in April, up from 4,418 in the same month last year. Analysts had expected the company to sell 22,500 units in May. In May the company sold 6938 Nexus, 6656 Tiago, 6649 Ultras, 1712 Harrier, 1627 Tigor and 1514 Safari.


Ashok Leyland's sales fell 51.59%

Ashok Leyland's total sales in May stood at 3,199 units. The company has suffered losses on a monthly basis. It sold 7,961 vehicles in April. However, sales figures have improved every year. The company had sold 1,420 vehicles in May last year.

Bajaj Auto reported 114% growth

Bajaj Auto sold 2,71,862 units in May with a growth of 114%. The company had sold 1,27,128 units in May last year. In domestic sales, it has sold 60,830 vehicles with a growth of 52%. In May 2020, it sold 40,074 vehicles. Also, 2,11,032 vehicles were exported with a growth of 142%. In May 2020, it exported 87,054 vehicles.
