Database of unorganized workers will be ready
The central government will start the e-shram portal to prepare a database of workers in the unorganized sector. According to official information, the e-shram portal will be launched on 26 August 2021. With this initiative of the government, the benefits of all social security schemes will reach all the unorganized workers of the country.
Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has released the logo of e-shram portal on Tuesday. Through which the government aims to register 38 crore workers of the unorganized sector. Apart from construction workers, this includes migrant workers, street vendors and domestic workers.
After the launch of the portal, workers of the unorganized sector can register themselves. For which registration can be done through your Aadhar card number along with filling the necessary details like date of birth, home town, mobile number and social category. After which an e-shram card will be issued to the workers. In which there will be a 12 digit unique number.
Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav informed that along with the launch of the portal, a national toll free number 14434 will also be started to help the workers in getting the registration done. Its purpose is to integrate the social security schemes of the government.

What is UAN Card?
The Applicants will receive a UAN card after the registration on Shram portal which will have a UIN Unique identification number. Through UIN all the Information about the worker like employer, Skills, Educational qualification, and schemes related information can be checked

Step1:Open eShram Official website i.e https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self
Step2:now Registration page will open on the Screen
Step3:Now enter your Aadhar card number and Fill Captcha Code
Step4:Now Click on Send OTP, Now an OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with Aadhar card
