A guideline was issued on April 29 directing the states to stop the transmission." "States were told to stop transmission and impose night curfew in areas where the transition rate is more than 10 per cent," he said. However, the decision is up to the state governments. Apart from this there is rock on social, political, sports, religious programs. Shopping complexes, theaters, restaurants, bars, sports complexes, swimming pools, places of worship, etc. have been ordered closed.

Active cases cross 35 lakh in the country
