Temples including Bahucharaji and Bahuchar Mata Mandir of Shankhalpur, Umiya Mata Mandir of Unjha, Khodaldham, Rajpara Khodiyar Mandir will remain open.

Following the transition of Corona in the state, the state government has banned celebrations including Navratri Garba. The decision to close the state's largest temple in some places has been taken by the temple trust. The famous Mahakali Mata Mandir in Pavagadh and the Ashapura Mata Mandir in Kutch's Mata Madh have been closed for a period of 12 to 19 days. However, temples including Ambaji's Amba Mata Mandir, Bahucharaji Shankhalpur's Bahuchar Mata Mandir, Kalawad's Khodaldham, Bhavnagar's Rajpara's Khodiyar Mandir will remain open during Navratri and devotees will be able to visit.




Mahakali Mata temple in Pavagadh will be closed for 17 days

The Pavagadh Temple Trust and the Panchmahal district administration have decided to close the Pavagadh temple from October 17 to November 1 to stop the corona. During Navratri, 8 to 10 lakh people come to the Pavagadh temple to pay obeisance to Mahakali Mata, which has led to an important decision as there is a possibility of Koro transition. A notification will be issued soon. However, as millions of devotees visit Mata on Navratri, the Pavagadh Temple Trust will set up LCD screens for live darshan of Mahakali Mata at Machi and Pavagadh foothills and the police administration is ready to maintain law and order situation if there is a crowd. Earlier, the Mahakali Mata temple was closed for 111 days due to lockdown. The temple will then be closed for another 17 days.




Mother's monastery in Kutch was closed for 12 days

From today, the temple of Mata Ashapura, the mother goddess of Kutch, has been closed for 12 days. The temple will be closed to visitors from October 13 to October 25. Darshan will continue as usual during Navratri at Ambaji Temple

As per the instructions of the state government, Garba has not been organized at the Ambaji temple during Navratri keeping in view the situation of Kovid-19, but, during the Navratri, Darshan at the temple will continue as usual. During Navratri, from October 17, the time for Darshan for pilgrims will be from 8 to 11:30 in the morning, 12:30 to 4:15 in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the evening. The temple trust has appealed to children under the age of 10 and senior citizens over the age of 65 not to come for darshan.




Temples located at Unjha, Bahucharaji in Mehsana district will also be open

The Umiya Mata Mandir in Unjha in Mehsana district of North Gujarat and the Bahuchar Mata Mandir in Shankhalpur and Bahucharaji will be kept open for visitors on the eve of Navratri due to fears of spreading Koro transition in the state. However here Corona’s guideline has to be followed. Sanitizing, wearing a mask will be mandatory. As well as with social dissent, visitors will be able to see Mataji. Apart from this, Homhavan during Navratri will also be held as per routine.




Chotila Chamunda Mata Mandir open, awaiting government order

Bharatgiri of the Chotila Chamunda Mata Mandir Trust told DivyaBhaskar that the Mataji temple is currently open for darshan. Any order from the government to keep the temple open or closed during Navratri will be strictly followed. Mataji's philosophy is going on by following the rules of social distance and sanitation. Even during Navratri, if there is no order from the government, the darshan will continue as usual.




Khodaldham temple will be open in Navratri



The Khodaldham temple at Kagwad, a symbol of unity of the Leuva Patel community, will be kept open during Navratri. Devotees will be able to pay homage to Khodiyar Mataji in Navratri. Devotees will be admitted inside the temple with social distance if the Koro epidemic is going on through the temple. Only devotees wearing mandatory masks will be allowed inside. Apart from this, sanitization has also been arranged. The Khodaldham Trust has requested the devotees to leave the temple after visiting Khodiyar Mataji.






The Rajpara Khodiyar temple will also be open during Navratri

The famous Rajpara Khodiyar Mataji temple near Bhavnagar attracts huge crowds of devotees every year during the Navratri days to pay homage to and worship Mataji. The temple will be open for darshan only from 5 am to 9 pm during Navratri this year due to the corona virus when the inns are full. All visitors will be admitted to the temple by sanitizing and arrangements will be made for devotees to pay obeisance to Mataji with social distance. The gates of the temple are still open for Darshan and all the Dharamshalas are closed which will remain during Navratri.
